Adult Sunday School
Doughnuts & Discussions
Nourished by coffee, snacks, and fellowship, this group examines the relationship between theology and contemporary culture. Topics have included a survey of the teachings of Islam and an examination of the theology of Martin Luther throughout his life. Doughnuts & Discussions meets in Strickler Hall.
Sunday Lectionary
Sunday Lectionary, also referred to as the “Second-Floor Bible Study,” meets in the Conference Room. The class reads from the Augsburg Adult Bible Study Series, a renowned series that explores the varieties of meaning of Biblical texts and provokes discussions based on major themes, such as “Sustaining Hope” and “Creation: God Loves Us.”

Adult Mid-Week Study
Men’s Bible Study
The Men’s Bible Study meets weekly at 7:00 AM on Wednesdays at IHOP, 114 East 21st Street, Norfolk, VA 23517. The group discusses the scriptural readings of the week from a practical and genuine perspective.
Women’s Bible Study
The Women’s Bible Study meets seasonally, at 2:00 PM on Tuesdays, to explore the varieties of religious experiences, concerns, and joys of women of the Lutheran faith through scripture. The group also collectively reads and examines books of spiritual importance, such as John Ortberg’s Soul Keeping: Caring for the Most Important Part of You.
